LOT# 1431 - 1971 CHEVROLET CHEVELLE CUSTOM COUPE "OVERHAULIN' CAR #1"

Built by Chip Foose, this '71 Chevelle was the first car
built for the hit TV show "Overhaulin'." Featured on
the episode "Parts Guy" (Season 1, Episode 1), this
Chevelle is powered by a 350ci Edelbrock RPM V8
engine upgraded with Pro-Flow electronic fuel-injection
and ceramic-coated Doug's headers as well as a 3-inch
ceramic-coated Flowmaster American Thunder cat-back and 20 inches in the rear mounted on a 3-inch drop
exhaust system. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a spring. Inside the Chevelle features the Super Sport
GM TH200R 4-speed automatic transmission sending interior package with Cobra racing seats and Vintage
drive to a 12-bolt posi-traction rear end with 4.10 Air climate control. The exterior features shaved door
gears. The Chevelle rides on a Hotchkis suspension handles, custom tucked-in bumpers and one of the first
and features Baer brakes at all four corners, as well as front bumpers with the license plate pocket filled. The car
a set of Budnik wheels measuring 19 inches up front comes with custom Foose flames on the hood and trunk.
