Thursday’s top seller was Lot #9294, a large Texaco Oil porcelain sign from the 1950s that brought in $40,250.American businessman and “Shark Tank” television personality Daymond John stopped by the auction site on Thursday and joined Barrett-Jackson Chairman and CEO Craig Jackson and President Steve Davis on the auction block to see the sale of a few auction cars directly from the podium. Barrett-Jackson also hosted the Ford Youth Initiative in the morning, where teenagers from around the Phoenix area were able to enjoy a Hot Lap in the new Ford Mustang Dark Horse and spend time with Shelby American President Gary Patterson.Friday at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale turned out to be a spectacular star-studded day, headlined by “Red Rocker” Sammy Hagar, who made a surprise appearance onstage during the Red Voodoo performance at the site’s South Showcase, joined by Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony. The impromptu concert was highlighted by hits that of course included “I Can’t Drive 55.”
