SUPER SATURDAY SHATTERS RECORDS: There’s a reason
Saturday is Super! From the moment gates opened, tens
of thousands of fans were treated to one of the most
extraordinary events in the automotive world.
The adrenaline-fueled action reached a fever pitch and
pushed the sale of the first retail production VIN 001 of the
70th-anniversary edition 2023 Chevrolet Corvette to $3.7
million —setting an auction world record — with 100%
of the hammer price benefiting Operation Homefront. In
an exceptionally generous gesture, Michelle Mauzy, noted
philanthropist and longtime member of the Barrett-Jackson
family, donated an additional $100,000 to the nonprofit.
