HOT IN H-TOWN
CHECK OUT THESE COOL RESTO-MODS AT THE 2022 HOUSTON AUCTION
Resto-Mods are an enormous segment in the collector car market —
and it's easy to understand why. A Resto-Mod is a vehicle that has been
restored and modified to a certain degree, taking the best of modern
performance and the classic world. Adding updated performance to a
classic vehicle breathes new life into it — it can become safer and more
enjoyable to drive, providing occupants with modern amenities without
sacrificing any of the classic styling we all know and love.
These beauties come in all shapes and sizes. Everything from a classic
Chevrolet Bel Air to a Ford Mustang or Volkswagen bus and even a
pickup truck can be a Resto-Mod. The Resto-Mod movement has also
helped spark other segments such as the Pro-Touring and the budding
Electro-Mod movements. These have adopted many of the same Resto-
Mod principles, such as preserving the vehicle's classic styling while
upgrading it with modern performance components.
The difference between a Resto-Mod and a Pro-Touring build is that
the latter often goes a step further than a Resto-Mod. It’s usually track-
ready, performs better than it did from the factory and meets or exceeds
modern-day performance vehicle standards regarding suspension,
steering and brakes, among other things.
Take a look at some of the beautiful Resto-Mods slated to cross the 2022
Houston Auction block with No Reserve, October 20-22 at NRG Center.
