                                     175Throughout the build process, about 75% of the sheet metal was replaced – including the quarterpanels, doors and hood – utilizing components from Dynacorn and Golden Leaf. Additionally, a complete renewal of both the firewall and floor has been executed. The body has been finished with three coats of RM urethane primer, followed by two coats of RM water-based topcoat in Porsche Carbon Steel Gray Metallic (A9W), and finally, three coats of RMC2000 clearcoat. To maintain consistency, the frame has the same paint finish as the body. The gray paint is complemented by a black canvas top fitted with real glass. To complete the look, the GTO rides on 18-inch American Racing Rally-style wheels are wrapped in Diamond Back EVO tires, which were chosen by Carl Andre Giroux, the GTO’s designer. To maintain the timeless aesthetics of the GTO, the builder opted to keep all the original chrome components, white the bumpers and select parts that underwent professional chroming for a polished finish. The stainless-steel trim was carefully removed and polished to achieve a mirror-like shine. Introducing a subtle gray tint to match the body color, new windows were installed, contributing to a cohesive and classic appearance.To meet contemporary lighting standards, the GTO was equipped with ORACLE sealed-beam headlamps featuring halo lights and taillight sequencers. Additionally, all other lights were upgraded to efficient and modern LEDs.Within the car, both the driver and passengers revel in a meticulously restored Portala Red interior. The original console underwent modification to seamlessly integrate a digital tablet, serving as the interface for gear changes. An additional pair of digital tablets forms a cluster on the dashboard, providing convenient access to various vehicle settings. Enhancing the comfort within the cabin, a 400-volt GM water heater ensures warm air circulation, while a Tesla air-conditioning compressor efficiently cools the battery, engine and interior as required.The comprehensive electrical wiring system was expertly custom-designed by the globally acclaimed INGENEXT team and meticulously crafted under their supervision. Elevating the auditory experience to unparalleled heights, the renowned Fortin Audio in Montreal curated a premium BLAM Audio system, seamlessly controlled by a vintage RetroSound radio and Helix amplifiers.
