He has been a musclecar fanatic since he was a child and has collected many of his cars through Barrett-Jackson over the last 30 years. “It is a dream come true to be a spokesperson for Dodge,” said Goldberg, best known as a professional wrestler. “I’ve done some cool things in my life, but to be a spokesperson for Dodge is really cool.” In his role as a spokesperson, Goldberg has become known as “Santa Claus for Dodge” and, more recently, the “Mayor of Muscleville.” This year, the Mayor of Muscleville has an opportunity for Barrett-Jackson bidders at the 2024 Scottsdale Auction. Goldberg is selling his pair of Dodge Demons, 2018 and 2023 models with VINs ending in 1083, as a single lot with No Reserve. His close and personal relationship with the automaker enabled Goldberg to secure a 2018 Dodge Demon with a VIN ending in 1083. “As soon as I got it, I put it away” Goldberg said, adding that the car has been sitting in his collection ever since it rolled off the showroom floor. When Dodge announced the Last Call series of vehicles and that one would be a Demon 170, Goldberg jumped at the chance to have matching VIN-ending cars and knew Barrett-Jackson would be the perfect place to sell them. “I'm transitioning as a collector,” Goldberg said. “I want to drive all the cars in my collection.” As a result, Goldberg has put together the opportunity for an American muscle-car lover to buy a unique pair of vehicles with exceptionally low mileage. According to Goldberg, the pair of Demons represents the end of the internal-combustionengine era, signaled by the Last Call series, which includes the Demon 170 offered. “Dodge is marking this transition with a big bang,” Goldberg said. That “big bang” comes with a four-digit horsepower number for the 2023 Dodge Demon 170: 1,025. The figure is a significant increase over the 808 horsepower the 2018 Dodge Demon came with.
