The series has been following four skilled builders as they craft distinctive, one-of-a-kind builds to compete in the prestigious 2024 Barrett-Jackson Cup, which takes place in the auction arena during the 2024 Scottsdale Auction. All 50 builds competing will be on display and parade across the auction block during QuikTrip Family Day on January 20. The winner will be announced the following Saturday on January 27. Taking place at each year at the Scottsdale Auction, the BarrettJackson Cup has an important legacy in the world of custom cars. “Barrett-Jackson helped pioneer Resto-Mod culture,” said Craig Jackson, chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson. “As technology has progressed, so has the quality and workmanship of these beautiful custom vehicles. The Cup provides builders the opportunity to showcase their talent.”Esteemed custom builders Bobby Alloway and Troy Trepanier serve as judges for the Cup, which sees 50 vehicles compete for the prestigious \The Castrol EDGE series spotlights Troy Gudgel of BBT Fabrications, the reigning Barrett-Jackson Cup champion. In his quest to defend the title, the BBT Fabrications team is meticulously crafting a 1959 Chevrolet Impala. Their unique approach involves showcasing the vehicle in its raw, bare metal form at the 2024 Cup, highlighting their exceptional metalworking skills.Meanwhile, Jeff and Jesse Greening of the Greening Auto Company are gearing up to present a 1961 Chevrolet Biscayne, adding their distinctive touch to the competition. Competitors Jeremy and Phil Gerber, the talented duo behind the Roadster Shop, have been busy constructing a mid-1970s Chevrolet square-body pickup truck, infusing innovation into their build.
