NEW RECORDS AND ICONIC VEHICLES
STEAL THE SHOW ON DAY TWO OF AUCTION
The auction arena was buzzing with
excitement throughout the day on Friday,
April 14, at the 2023 Barrett-Jackson
Palm Beach Auction, with the crowd
erupting into cheers as several highly
anticipated vehicles had their turn on the
block and over a dozen auction world
records were set.
In a diverse offering that ranged from
modern Mustangs and Camaros to classic
pickup trucks and custom sedans with
fabulous fins, more than 200 vehicles
made their way across the Barrett-Jackson
block on Friday. A 1967 Ford Mustang
Eleanor Tribute Edition (Lot #382) headed
off on its next adventure for a winning bid
of $286,000, making it the day’s top seller.
Other top sales of the day included a
2003 Hummer H1 Pickup (Lot #405),
which crossed the block for $170,500;
a 1962 Chevrolet Corvette 327/340
Convertible (Lot #413) selling for
$165,000 and a 1967 Ford Mustang
Eleanor Replica (Lot #397.1) for
$150,700. A 1965 Chevrolet Corvette
327/375 Fuelie Convertible (Lot #425)
rounded out the top five with its
$137,500 sale.
The collector cars weren’t the only stars
in attendance today. Congressman
Brian Mast, a Purple Heart recipient
and U.S. representative for Florida’s 21st
congressional district, checked out the
cars on and off the block, as did Chip
Foose, a master automobile designer
known for his reality television series
“Overhaulin’.” Actor and boxer Chuck
Zito stopped by the auction with John
Staluppi, automotive aficionado and a
longtime friend of Barrett-Jackson.
